Fill in the Blank Friday

Serious?  Friday again.  How can that be.  My blog is a sorry sight these days....  I have been pretty pre-occupied with closing the shop and the 99 million things that need to be done.  It isn't even that I have been doing too much but that I have been thinking too much.  I haven't been able to turn my brain off until like one or two every night and then the next day I am a zombie but unable to feel tired.

It's the pits, but at the same time I am very excited to be moving onto the next chapter in this little life of mine. ;) My dear friend Krista has been working on a new logo for me - I am very excited to unveil it here soon. :)

1. Something I swore I'd never do, but have ended up doing anyway is having a messy house. Before the shorties and the shop my house was always tidy and oh so organized. Now, sadly, not so much.

2. Something I've always wanted to do is have a horse. I will one day. When.... when I am not so busy with 19 million other things I guess! I always tell CH (or maybe I just think it) that if you want something bad enough, you will find time for it.  The thing about the horse is that I want to have to time to savour it and right now it would just be one more thing I have to rush around and take care of.

3. Something I have absolutely no desire to ever do is go scuba diving, bungee jumping, cliff diving, rock climbing, sky diving, ... you get the idea.

4. The best thing I ever did was become a mother. I always wanted to and it is just as amazing as I hoped it would be.

5. When it comes to trying new things, I am not very good at it. If it is a new activity I get all nervous and freaky. New food, forget it. Making new friends - not easy for me. New sewing technique, pattern, or book - I am all over it like a dirty shirt.

6. One thing I've never done is ...please see number 3.

7. My favorite thing do do is sew. Duh.

Here are a few things I finished this week.

Owl Bag
Two new owls bags

Lots of owls and a few whales

Grandmother's Flower Garden English Paper Piecing Hexis
Not finished - but worked on!
K. On that note, I am going, to sew.

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's Friday - how can that even be. This week, like all the rest sped by.  I am looking forward to the weekend and getting stuff done in preparation to moving my shop home. :o)

This week I made a dozen little owls, two whales, three owl bags, most of a messenger bag - none of which have had their picture taken yet.  :o)

I am very excited for the next chapter!

Fill in the Blank Friday
{via}

1. My favorite feeling in all the world is the feeling of my family's hugs. Penelope with her little shoulders and arms like licorice whips and her big heart. The Little Man with his bear hugs and his too wise for his age ways. CH and and his comforting 'safe place' hugs. Pretty much love the hugs - but the kiss are pretty great too.

2. My favorite smell(s) is (are) gardenia, clean laundry (from my own house), (Body Shop) vanilla and breast fed baby breath (don't pass judgement on me, it smells so good. Penelope use to suck on my nose and it was the best smell ever).

3. My favorite taste is salty. Hands down. I also am very appreciative of savoury.

4. The most beautiful thing I've ever seen was... I should say my children or something along those lines - and they really are exceptionally beautiful but I always talk about them and when I read the blank the first thing that came to my mind was once when we all took a drive though the Pend Orielle road the summer after there was a huge forest fire. It was early evening and the light was perfect. The tress where all black and the grass and low growing plants that had come back were the most bright amazing green I have ever seen in nature. You could actually see the rays of the sun coming out of the sky. it was the kind of thing that would make a person believe in God.

5. The best sound ever is my children laughing together - although Penelope singing to herself all the time is a pretty close second. The love you feel for your children is so amazing and powerful - I feel compassion toward people who do not have children, by choice or not. To miss out on the magnitude of over whelming love would be so devastating.

6. A smell that reminds me of my childhood is rain on hot pavement, and the river in the summer heat.

7. My favorite of all the senses is sense of sight or sense of touch - I can't decide. I love to see beautiful things as much as I love to feel them. If I was forced to decide.  I f I had not choice?  Well, if I had a choice between never touching Penelope's cheek again or never seeing it, I would have to give up the sight. If I had a choice between never feeling a safe secure embrace from CH or never seeing him - I am going with the hug. You get the idea. I guess I decided, didn't I.  :o)

Have a wonderful Friday.  I'm off to the game!

Random Conversation with The Little Man

The back story:  The Mouth's boss' last name is Button.  I love buttons.  LOVE. THEM. Totally jealous of her name, but little else. There I said it.

Me:  I wish my last name was Button. No. I wish that was my first name. As a matter of fact, you should call me Button from now on.

TLM:  I'll start calling you Button if you call me Felix.
(totally dead pan - he is finally getting a sense of humour like me.  Hahahahaha . That was for you PITA).

Happy day.  Off so sew.  What the heck, 10:30 already??!!

:o)  Nighty Night Rainbow Bright (that one is for PITA too),

The Way Back - Things I Saw or Thought About on the Road

1. Stop signs in the prairies are twice the size of ours at home. I'm not even joking. It's nuts.

2. The foothills near Turner Valley are beautiful in October. I thought Turner Valley was a city. I was wrong.

Alberta foothills in October

3. Long drives on easy roads make me sleepy.

4. The best time of year to travel in the evening is hunting season. Apparently the East Kootenay and Albertan wildlife is smart enough to lay low, we haven't seen so much as squirrel on the way home.

5. Rest stops in BC out number rest stops in Alberta like 8 to 1, even though in Alberta you need them to wake up!

6. It was snowing in Longview Alberta. It was freakin' cold in Sparwood. After being so nice in Calgary it was a shock to my bare arms!

grey wolf at Bass Pro Shop
A beautiful (stuffed dead?!) wolf - one of many.
7. There was a giant cowboy in a field in Alberta and Paul Bunyan in some trees in BC.

8. Pedestrians in Alberta never look. I mean never. Ever. They just walk. What if the driver doesn't look either? I had like 12 mini strokes while in Calgary because of this.

9. Cross Iron Mills is an amazing mall with a really interesting hunting and fishing store called the Bass Pro Shop (amazing, but creepy) store with lots of stuffed dead things all over the place. In some ways I enjoyed it more than the zoo as the animals were too dead to be bored and sad.

Doe (?) elk above the gun sales area.
10.  My Shorties are were so amazing all the way there, all the way home and almost every minute of in between.  :o)

The bottom line is, I much prefer my province. Alberta is a nice place to visit but coming home to the mountains and proper sized trees is a wonderful thing.

Looking forward to work tomorrow - LOVE my new job. :)

Something New

So there are a couple of things new this week.

First of all, I got a job.  A real, bonified, pay cheque on every two weeks, job. I am quite honestly not to sure how I feel about it yet. I am looking forward to not being responsible in the same manner that I am now in my work - not that I won't do a good job but I won't have to worry about where the money is coming from to pay the telephone bill! I am excited to have an income of some sort after so long of constant struggle but I am so worried about what will happen to the shop. I am going to let it run its natural course.... that is the best I can do.

The other something new I have to tell you is that we are buying a trailer!!!  I am so freakin' excited for some quality family time with my peeps over the summer and fall.  I have been wanting one for like 3 years and now my dream is finally coming true for a meager $1200!!!

Our lovely dining room.
Our fabulous kitchen.
Our bright and spacious living room.
The exterior of our new vacation home - not the roof and deck,
just the 'to go' part of the set up!
I am really really excited!!  Ever ytime I tell someone about it I do a little victory/happy dance. We will be going somewhere - rain or shine - on an adventure in about 10 days.  Possibly with PITA and her three.  No internet, no electricity, no running water BUT lots of relaxing family time.  Doesn't get any better than that!!

I feel like this week has had a few big breaks that I have been waiting for.  I hope it means things are on an upswing! (at long last) (fingers crossed)

Fill in the Blank Friday

girl smelling tulip
Penelope sitting still for 10
seconds so I can take her
picture. Literally 10 seconds.
Happy Friday! Thank Goodness these blanks are a little more cheerful (and I did not lose what I wrote, having learned my lesson to SAVE often! I suppose re-learn is more accurate.

I have a had a busy week. Last weekend was un-blogable - I was so busy with Silver City Days with CH, the Shorties, Mother's Day, etc.  Took a couple of great photos of the carnival and the park I was relaxing in while the shorties went on rides, check them out on Instagram.

We took it easier than we ever have on a Silver City Saturday and it went wonderfully.  We even made it to the fireworks - which we don't always due to being too tired from.

On Sunday we had a delicious brunch buffet at Cafe Americano - a little restaurant / coffee shop in our lovely little downtown.  While we were there an elderly gentleman gave my kids $20 for the fair.  They were so excited - Penelope especially as she had been begging us to go on more rides the whole time we were at the restaurant. It was so nice.  Random strangers practicing random acts of kindness.  :o)

Sunday evening we went to PITA's for a BBQ.  It was her last birthday ever (29th ppfft).  The food was excellent again, by the time I went home I felt like such a hippo.  I ate more on Sunday than I usually do in like three days!

photo memory quilt
Blocks for the memory quilt I have been commissioned
to make for my Aunt who is actually my second cousin's wife,
on my Dad's side.  (That one is for PITA - who is under
the impression that distant cousins don't count. :p)
Monday...  eeck...  CH and I had a bad parenting moment.  We were both really tired and sore and we did not drive our kids to school.  That's right.  They stayed home from school because neither of us could get it together to take them - or get them ready for that matter.  Stupid car accident did not pair well with the fair!!

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - Soccer, Smokies AGM, Piano, Soccer, sewing memory quilt blocks for Friday until 3 am....

This weekend will most likely be just as busy as last, although Saturday night is the only day that has a plan at the moment.

So, on with the blanks!

fill in the blank Friday
the little things we do

1. Something that is very near and dear to my heart is, my family of course. I place a lot of importance with my family - not only those who live in my house (or once did) but also the extended family - my parents and in-laws, my Aunts Uncles and cousins.  they are all very important to me.  I have always been very attached to family and have tried to teach my kids to be the same.

2. Today is good cause to celebrate. Any day everyone is above ground, healthy, and content is a reason to celebrate!

manning park Rhododendron forest beautiful British Columbia
Photo from Birding by Shantzy, you can see more lovely photos
of the Rhodos there.  It is really beautiful and worth checking
out if you are driving through Manning Park in the spring.
3. The most fun I ever had was... I have had SO much fun I honestly can not pick one thing. When I was 19 (20 years ago!!) I lived with three of my friends for about 5 months and it was non-stop fun.  Seriously.  We never stopped having fun - well I didn't anyway. The summer of 1995 I drove from my home in North Vancouver to Christina Lake every weekend and it was really really fun as well - lots of quality time with my Grandma on what would be her last summer and lots of party and beach time with my friends. Specific days? Probably days with Surely. We once went on a road trip from Vancouver to visit the Rhododendron Forest in Manning Park.  It took us two and half hours to get there and 14 to get home.  The two full on family vacations that CH and I have taken the kids on were also really fun.  Both times we visited some of my amazing family and the beautiful Pacific Ocean.  I honestly cannot pick one thing or one time.  I have been blessed in the fun department - possibly due in part to my ability to always see a silver lining.  I can think of a couple of times that I ran out of gas or the car broke down and it ended up being really fun...

4. True friends are the ones where no topic is off-limits and you can always pick up where you left off even if there's a time lapse between visits. The people who understand you and accept you - the good and the bad - and love you unconditionally.

5. Something that makes me terribly happy is quality family time (like most of this last weekend). I LOVE LOVE LOVE spending time with CH and the shorties (especially at the beach or camping which is coming up soon!! Yeah!!).

6. A good way to spend a sunny day is SITTING ON THE BEACH!!! There is no other acceptable way to spend a nice sunshiny day. Well, I suppose swimming or waking at the beach are okay too. :o)

7. My favorite celebratory food is turkey - well stuffing and gravy, really but you can't have one without the other. My Mum make the best turkey, gravy and stuffing in the Universe. Hands down no contest.

Well, that's the blanks!

Have a super fabulous weekend!

Toot Toot (But Not the Kind You Think)

This is me with PITA- I am the taller one
with the enormous double chin and the
perfectly smooth, thank you very much,
hair. Toot Toot.
PITA has taken to calling me Tootie because I like to "toot" my own horn.  It's true.  I sometimes do - but only when it is something worthy of a toot.  It is not like I go around bragging and talking about how great I am all the time (I really don't - I am so not like that) - it is only when I am proud of something or happy with how something turned out.

For example, my hair on picture day.  LOVED it.  It was so smooth and shiny.  I have wavy, light brown hair.  Until I was about 30 I had pin straight medium to dark blonde hair - it has been adjustment to say the least and because they are so much harder to come by now, I really LOVE a good hair day. (PITA straightened it and my friend Jessie coloured it for me a few days before so it was not all me.  I am a firm believe that you give credit when credit is due and will not ever take credit when it is not mine to take!)

I also toot my own horn on an regular basis, somewhat indirectly, by talking about how awesome my shorties are.  How beautiful, smart, kind, considerate, and funny they are.  They are so freakin' amazing. I made them that way (although not single handedly) so, Toot Toot.

Another thing I toot my own horn about is sewing.  I am good at, and I have been designing things from my head a lot over the last year or so and I get excited.  I just cannot help myself.  So the other night, I started an Etsy shop to list some of what I make for sale.  I listed an owl bag at 11:30 at night, it sold by morning.  Can you say Toot Toot?! I am pretty excited about that.  It is such a compliment when people buy the things I create, a pattern or a finished item, it just feels so good! So Toot Toot - and THANK YOU!

The fair is in town this weekend for our annual Silver City Days festival.  I am hoping to get some good pictures of all of the colours and lights and the excitement the shorties are bound to be exuding.  I am also looking forward to Mouth having some fun for a change rather than spending all of his time in his room playing video games. Jerk.

Homemade Washi Tape and Some Really Cute Butterfly Magnets!

Ah ha!  Day 27!  Woot Woot!  I just realized how badly I dropped the ball on the photo a day thing....  Maybe I should try harder.  I do love to take iphotos (is that a word - if not it should be!)

So, today Nag and I made goody bags for Penelope's birthday party this evening.  This is the pin I used as my example.

These are ours. With homemade washi tape!

Thank you Nag for taking care of the eyes and the antenna.  Crooked works great and I would have spent hours trying to get then perfectly straight and even.

The washi tape was fabulous - this is what I did to make it happen.
homemade washi tape
I looked for some small print napkins from the Dollarama.  They had lots of pretty napkins but nothing with a small print so I opted for stripes in Penelope-ish colours.

I then separated the layers - there were four, I thought there were two so I did a strip of tape and then had to redo it.  Live and learn.

After the layers where separated there was only one that was patterned - the others were plain white. I took double sided tape and put it perpendicular to the strips and smoothed it down.  They I cut it to the width I needed it to be for the clothes peg bodies of the butterflies, peeled the paper off of the tape in small sections and cover the clothes pen all the way around, snipping the open ends and tucking it in.

They turned out great and I LOVE the idea of homemade washi tape.  It is way stickier than the washi tape that I purchased from etsy.

Anyway, off to do other things.

My Sweet 7

This is her on November 26 2005
Crawling around and already the mess maker she will become!

I can't believe she is 7. Where did the time go? She has always been so good and easy I wish that time would slow down. I hope everyday that she will always be the angel she was then and the angel she is now.

Happy Birthday Penelope. You are the glue that stuck this family together - the common thread.
We love you so much and look forward to another fabulous year!

The Hypocrite Game

My brother has a crazy ex-wife.  I think we all have a crazy somewhere in our closet.  I have two H1 and CH!  Hahaha.  But really he does.

So here is tonight's story.  Long story, so pay attention.

The Little Man and my brother's daughter have a lot of conflict.  Part of that conflict comes, I think, from a sibling rivalry that has developed between them as a result of my Mum mothering her because the ex-wife was too unstable to do it for a few years so my (sweet, big hearted, sometimes a little nonsensical) brother had custody and a job that took him away a fair bit.  I think the other part of it is personality.  She pushes his buttons over and over again and he retaliates, as boys do - with physical force.  He is a strong personality and intolerant and she is a strong personality and manipulative and all of that put together does not always mesh well.  Keeping in mind that these two are 10. 10 people.

So tonight, I am talking to Nag via FB chat:
Nag: JH Waiting for the crap to hit the fan when Emily's cousin whines to his mother that I gave him hell for trying to force his way into my house. Bring it on. I'm tired of that little bully.
Me: ? What
Nag: that was JH's status..... anything to do with your side?
Since we are the ONLY side, there was then a lot of me freaking out and swearing and typing in all caps.  Mumma bear instinct kicked in at 100%.

I asked Nag to ask him to remove his status.  He didn't.  I sent him the following message:
I was informed of your status and would appreciate your taking it off.
If there is a problem please call me at 250-364-1646 rather than making accusations about a 10 year old on a public forum. Please remember that there are 2 sides to every story.
If you do not remove it, I will assume you would like me to come over to discuss it.
Thank you, Tina
Nag and I continued to converse.  Me with a lot of swearing and typing in all caps.

I went and got the story from The Little Man who was in his room feeling like a turd and feeling very confused because I totally lost on it on him - which I never do - and, as I was to find out because of the way he was treated by my niece and subsequently JH.  My niece stole money from The Little Man ($1, but with him it is the principle of the matter and I suppose when you are 10, $1 is substantial), he followed her home to her mother's (the ex-wife), she (the niece) told him to get off their property and then went in the house.  He went and knocked on the door and asked for his money back and JH, the ex-wife's boyfriend, kicked him out.  He went to get his friend as a witness and when he arrived back there, he was given the money back and told by JH that he would make sure he never set foot on his property again.  By this time, I am so totally beside myself I am ready to get into the car and drive over there and beat the tar out of this 40ish man for trying to intimidate my 10 year old son.  I was PISSED.

While The Little Man and I were talking, JH responded.  This is what he wrote.
Hello, Tina.
First of all, this is a private page, viewable not to the public but to friends who I've added. Secondly, I did not identify your son by name, nor did I identify yourself. I referred to him as "Emily's cousin." Thirdly, you yourself should remember that there are two sides to every story considering that on 12 May, 2011, on your own personal blog, which is indeed visible to the general public, you made baseless comments about my partner, at which time you mentioned no names. Although referring to said person as "your little brother's ex-wife" isn't exactly the best way to maintain an air of discretion.
Now, if you'd like to stop playing the hypocrite game, and remove your post about Heather from your public blog, I'll remove the post about your son from my private facebook page.
Regarding your son, yes, he and Emily had a disagreement in which Emily allegedly took $1 more from Dominic than she was offered. Her mother and I had Emily give the whole $2 back. End of discussion. Regarding him trying to chase after Emily into my house and force his way past the front door, I sent him off the property and advised him that he is not welcome in my home or on my property.
I, Heather, and Emily's father are tired with and frustrated by the constant bullying your son does to Emily, be it at school, in private, or at the aquatic centre. And I will certainly not allow it to continue in or near my home.
Very well written.  I have to say I was taken off guard by that.  The ex-wife, scored herself someone with a brain.  So I wrote another, long angry message back.  I took the high road (thank CH for that) and I didn't send it.  But I did copy and past it so you can read it and I can feel a little bit of vindication.

So what I wrote was this:
Clearly you were looking for a fight with me when you posted your status, I am so sorry but I am going to resist providing you with it. It is difficult and I want to, but I won't.
If your status is not gone by the morning, I will call the police and see what recourse there is, if any. I would hope that you take the adult approach to the situation and remove a slanderous comment made about a 10 year old.
What I wrote first but did not send was this:
Clearly you were looking for a fight with me when you posted your status, I am so sorry that I cannot resist providing you with it.
Remove your status or I am calling the police. I will not have you slander my child. He is 10. Heather is an adult. And it is pretty obvious who you are talking about as well as Emily does not have any other cousins in Trail.
Baseless? Are you serious. You forget that Heather was a member of this family for several years. In my experience she IS unstable for example, she tried to kill herself - more than once from what I understand - but the incident I am referring to is the time Emily was there - alone. That is pretty unstable. In my experience she IS malicious for example, her treatment of my brother - her husband and the father of her child - the way she went about ending the relationship, the way that she treated him and the things that she said to him when they were together. Malicious. And I know she has been to you as well Jason, Emily is not a secret keeper.
Having said all of that, Emily and Dominic do not get along. Period. She pushes his buttons and he reacts. That is how it has always been. Dominic is a child and cannot be expected to be in control of how he reacts when provoked, I think he takes a lot from her. Knowing Emily as I do, I am surprised that it does not happen more often. None of this excuses the way that you treated him this evening when he was at your home.
Dominic has been told that from now on he is to treat Emily as if she were a stranger. He is not to talk to her or acknowledge her in any way. I am going into the school tomorrow to talk to their teacher and the principal to let them both know that this is the new status quo. I will not allow it to continue as Dominic's mother I am not going to tolerate his being shouldered with all of responsibility and blame.
If your status is not gone by the morning, I will call the police and see what recourse there is, if any. I would hope that you take the adult approach to the situation.
When I make new friends, I always tell them that one thing they need to know about me is that I am always late.  I think they need to know two things.  That I am late, and that I am extremely loyal and demand the same.

So anyway, the saga continues:
JH: Would you mind explaining what part of the comment is slanderous?
Me: As previously stated, I am refusing to be goaded into an argument. I am not 10, and my buttons are not so easily pushed.
If you would like to discuss this like an adult I can be reached at 250-364-1646 or you can call me tomorrow at work 250-364-1274 or on my cell phone at 250-368-7607 or you can even come over or stop by the shop to chat.
Perhaps if a face to face visit is a route you would like to explore, we can have the kids present to offer both sides of this on going story and settle it once and for good.
JH: And what about your comments about Heather on your blog? I would say there is more slander in that than anything I happend to put in my comment. As well, you use quite clear identifiers.
And allow me to add, in my honest opinion which I am entitled to under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, section 2(b), and not as a statement which could be considered libel (or as you incorrectly refered to as, slander), it is my personal -opinion- that you and your entire family are nothing but bullies.
Again, I propose that in exchange for taking down your comment obviously refering to Heather in your public blog, I will remove my status from my private page.
JH: No thank you. Good night.
Me: That's is what I thought.
As a result I got nothing sewn and I am totally exhausted.  The worst?  I am sad for my poor son. This is making me tired.

What a night.  Stupid ex-wife's not so nice, apparently likes to pick on 10 year old boys, boyfriend (whose the bully now?).  Obviously he does not know me or my family - none of us are bullies.  My Mum and my brother are the wimpiest of wimps and my Dad chooses to avoid at almost all cost.  CH is somewhere between me and my Dad.  Penelope not even worth talking about.  Me and Josh have a big mouths and we know how to use them but that is where is ends.  And The Little Man, he is a little boy.  Period.  I am still pretty mad and it has been hours.  I think I need another cup of tea and some more chocolate...

P.S.  JH, if you are reading this thank you for the material and thank you also for adding to my stats!  :o)

Photo a Day, Day 1 and 2

I hate to wait.  Hate it.  Well maybe hate is too strong a word (it is not one I like to use) but I do strongly dislike it. It is why I don't clean my oven - and I know that sounds like a really crappy excuse but it is the truth.  I can never wait for the Easy Off to do its job before I am in there scraping and scrubbing and breathing in all those toxic fumes and cursing myself for not waiting until the cleaner did its job.  Every time, I am not even joking.

I am currently sitting at my desk waiting for a phone call that I do not particularly want to have feeling as if I would like to take what is left of my bottle of Ativan and maybe a T3 or two to ease the pain created by my morning massage and my frayed nerves.   It is a phone call where I have to ask someone, who I love, who loves me by default (we are related) for help.  I strongly dislike asking for help as well.  (I sure have a lot of issues I am making a counseling appointment as I type!)

I still have not finished my 31 Days posts, but I promise you I am working on them and they are getting closer.  I made a list - that is always a good step in the right direction for me.  Today is the second day of photo a day, I suppose I need to catch up on that too!  I was down for the count yesterday with a nasty headache, the likes of which I have not felt since I discontued my wine habit back in 1999 or there abouts.

April 1st Photo - My Reflection

Looks like me.  Acts like me. He is a reflection of me (and I don't care if that is cheating!).

April 2nd Photo - Colour

I took this ages ago at a quilt show and have been waiting for the right time to use it.  I have another colour photo that I could have used but could not find it - I think it is lost in my old Instagram account - if I find it, I will post it later.

Anyway, I could go on and on just for the sake of rambling today, I have lots of nervous energy built up. You know, the kind that makes your feel like your whole body is stuffed with little fluttery birds and you have a hot brick on your neck.  Still waiting... once it is done, I will feel so much better.

I think I will go search for something funny for a wordless Wednesday post.

Mother Bear or Just a Loser?

We went to a Smokies game tonight and I made a big old ass of myself and possibly of the Little Man.

The Little Man and his best friend had a bit of a difference of opinion and I stepped in.  Even though he asked me not to.  I am such an over protective freak.  I had trauma in elementary school that scared me for life - for real.  I am 38 years old and when I see the people who made my life uncomfortable when I was 8 (that's right 30 years ago - 30!) I still want to spit on the ground at their feet.  So I guess I am projecting my own junk onto his situation.

Ironically, the Little Man keeps telling me to get over it.  He means this evening because I am obsessing.  What I really need to get over is elementary school! (I so badly want to name names and provide Facebook links the people who scared me for life, but, although scared, I am too nice and way too non-confrontational for that).

Thanks for listening.
