War Brides

With war threatening to spread from Europe to England, the sleepy village of Crowmarsh Priors settles into a new sort of normal: Evacuees from London are billeted in local homes. I liked this book - it kept me reading and I was still thinking about it the next day.  Always the sign of a good book.  When I was finished reading, I was wanting to know more about the characters lives, but instead I had to move onto the next book.  I was, after all, camping.
